Staffing

Northlake teacher-to-child ratios exceed state requirements and are strictly maintained at the following levels:

Toddlers/Early Preschool (18 - 30 months) 1:4 
Preschool (30 months - 3 years 11 months)  1:5 
PreK/Prekindergarten (4 - 5 years)  1:6 
SuperK/Kindergarten (4 1/2 - 6 years) 1:6
First Grade (5 1/2 - 7 years) 1:10
Second Grade (6 1/2 - 8 years) 1:10


Staff Qualifications and Training

Preschool

At Northlake Preschool, our teachers are child care professionals who are knowledgeable, caring, and soft-spoken, and have the appropriate experience, education, and skills for their positions.  The  Northlake Preschool staff attend monthly staff meetings that include education and training to expand professional knowledge and further personal growth.

Elementary School

Northlake elementary grades teachers have many years of teaching experience in both public and independent schools, are WA State certified, and hold Bachelors or Masters degrees in Education.
 

In addition, all Northlake staff maintain the following certifications:

CPR (including pediatric CPR)
First Aid
BBP

Food handler's permit
TB testing
Dept. of Early Learning Background Check
